Chef Michael Kogan

Chef Kogan specializes in creating contemporary menus using fresh, natural and organic ingredients.  He focuses on selecting the best ingredients of the season to ensure that each dish is as fresh as possible.  Ingredients are purchased from local vendors who employ sustainable farming practices.

As a graduate of The French Culinary Institute in 2004, he found success in New York City’s fine dining scene. After working at top dining venues, such as, The Core, Eleven Madison Park, Jean-Georges Spice Market and Blue Hill NYC, he went on to fulfill his own entrepreneurial dreams by creating his own catering business, MK Caters. He’s contributed his expertise to events for Saveur, Food & Wine Magazine, Vogue, various charities and numerous celebrity chefs.

Though Chef Kogan is classically trained in French cuisine, his repertoire has become incredibly versatile.  He is a member of the USPCA and has also been a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) for over 14 years.  He’s the ideal choice when your event calls for personalized menus based on a specific cuisine or when dietary restrictions are a concern.
